Eight persons arrested in July from Hyderabad charged by NIA

The National Investigation Agency on Thursday filed a charge sheet against eight persons, including two Yazdani brothers, hailing from the city and arrested them on charges of alleged links with banned Islamic State organisation.
On July 29 this year, the NIA raided several parts of the old city of Hyderabad and  arrested Abdullah Bin Ahmed Al Amoodi alias Fahad alias Abuhaleem (31) of Charminar, Mohammed Ibrahim Yazdani alias Abu Abdurrahman (29) of Talabkatta, Habeeb Mohammed alias Abu Shaibah (31) of Hashmabad, Mohammed Ilyas Yazdani alias Abu Mansoor (24) of Talabkatta, and Muzaffar Hussain Rizwan alias Rizwan alias Abulhasan (29) of Talabkatta, for conspiring to carry out attacks in Hyderabad.

Supreme Court Accepts Swamy’s Plea on Ayodhya Dispute

On Friday the Supreme Court agreed to hear BJP’ Rajya Sabha MP Subramanian Swamy’s plea seeking to hear on Ayodhya dispute on a day-to-day basis.
A bench of Chief Justice T S Thakur and Justice A R Dave listed the plea for next week after he sought and urgent hearing on Ayodhya dispute. It said that it would like to hear Swamy’s plea as to why a day-to-day hearing should be conducted.
Swamy said that since the Ram Mandir was a part of BJP’s election manifesto, it could not be ignored. He had said that it was the party’s duty to the people to deliver on that promise. Swamy had admitted that the matter could not be solved with force and hence had urged the Supreme Court to take action as the matter had been pending for 6 years, it should be heard on day-to-day basis.

IT Department raided Janardhan Reddy's office after his daughter's extravagant wedding

It is reported by News 18 that the Income Tax department raided the office of mining baron and former Karnataka minister Janardhan Reddy on Monday after news about his daughter’s extravagant wedding went viral. Meanwhile, PTI reported that I-T dept had conducted surveys in Bangalore and Hyderabad on service providers engaged for his daughter's wedding.

The Income Tax department conducted surveys on at least ten locations of high-end event management firms, catering and multi-media service providers who were engaged for the extravagant wedding of daughter of Karnataka's former BJP minister G Janardhan Reddy.

Entry of Dalits into Ram Mandir in Jakkuva village

In Vizianagaram district there is a remote village named Jakkuva in Mentada Mandal. On 3rd May 2014, Scheduled castes ( known as Dalits ) were not allowed into a recently renovated Sri Ram Mandir. On this incident, ‘Saamajika Samarasata Vedika’ (SSV) formed a committee to investigate the truth. The committee visited the village on 29th May 2014 and a detailed report of the investigation was submitted to the representatives of the Government. Vedika also performed a Dharna in front of the District Collectors Office on 23rd June 2014 against the Government delayed action and demanded justice to Dalit victims. During the course of last two years, the Vedika supported the SC's for the cause and ensured Dalits get the just benefits from the Government. The north Andhra districts Samarasata Sammelan, with the help of the villagers and the local TDP, BJP and YSRC party leaders, have ensured the entry of the Dalits into the Ram Temple.

Christian Pastor arrested for forcing children to Beg

It is reported by the news media that at least 19 children, who were projected as orphans and forced to beg at traffic junctions in Cyberabad area, were rescued from a house in Ameenpur area on the outskirts of Hyderabad Thursday morning.
Local police have arrested K John, who allegedly kept the children, including five girls, in a rented house — in the name of Brahmaputra Orphanage — in Ameenpur and sent them out to beg.

Kolkata: It is reported by the media that in a major crackdown on the 'Narayani Sena', a private army of the erstwhile Maharaja of Coochbehar, the Trinamool Congress government on Wednesday banned all training centres where its volunteers were given arms training.

According to reports, the move comes a day after TMC accused the central government of trying to disrupt smooth functioning of the state government.

The party alo alleged that the BSF was providing "training" to 'Narayani Sena', a private army of the erstwhile Maharaja of Coochbehar.

More than 100 women injured in clash with 35 AR on NH-2

KANGPOKPI, Jun.22: It was around 1.30 this morning, when the 35 Assam Rifles posted at Hengbung in Sadar Hills went on the offensive and injured more than a hundred women agitators in front of their camp, who were demonstrating against the arrest of four PSOs of KNF President at Hengbung yesterday by Assam Rifles.
Around 600 women from different parts of Sadar Hills congregated in front of 35 AR Hengbung post at around 7.30 pm yesterday started protesting while demanding the unconditional release of the four PSOs of KNF President, ST. Thangboi, who is also the chairman of United Peoples’ Front, one of the two conglomerate bodies of Kuki UGs.

The Bathini Goud family, which administers the ‘fish prasadam’ (murrel fish and a herbal paste), began the exercise at the Exhibition Grounds this morning and it will continue for 24 hours. The Bathini Goud family claims to be offering the ‘fish prasadam’ for the last 170 years.

Police arrested main accused of Mathura violence

According to Uttar Pradesh police officials, Chandan Bose and three others orchestrated the incident that left 29 dead.
The Uttar Pradesh Police have arrested the prime accused in the Mathura violence case, which left 29 people dead on June 2, reported PTI. Chandan Bose and his wife were arrested from a village in Parsurampur area.

Chief Secretary seeks quake damage reports

IMPHAL, Feb 14: Chief Secretary O Nabakishore has urged the individuals concerned whose houses had suffered damages in January 4 earthquake to submit details of their losses to the concerned DCs within two days.
Addressing a press conference at the conference hall of Old Secretariat, the Chief Secretary said that although the concerned Departments could easily carry out value assessment of Government buildings, the Government has not received detailed report of the losses suffered by private individuals.
As such, private individuals are informed to submit these details to the DCs and SDOs concerned within two days so that the State Government may compile an elaborate report to forward it to the Centre, he said.

IMPHAL, Jan 30: Suspended Head Constable Thounaojam Herojit, who has recently made a confessional statement on the infamous July 23 encounter, has rebuffed Imphal West SP Dr AK Jhalajit’s clarification on the issue.
The gallantry award recipient talked to the media for the first time in the State at Mani-pur Press Club this evening after his sensational confession to killing Chungkham Sanjit Meitei some days back.
He once again told the media that he killed Sanjit after the then Imphal West Additional SP Dr AK Jhalajit ordered him to do so.

Crimes against people from NE increased by over 200 percent

NEW DELHI, Jan 17 : Reported incidents of crime against people from North East living in the National capital have increased by around 232.58 per cent in two years.

While 89 FIRs in connection with criminal offences against people from North East States were registered in 2013, as many as 280 were lodged in the year that followed and 296 in 2015, according to police records.

The highest number of cases were registered in south Delhi, where a large number of people from the region reside, particularly under the jurisdiction of Vasant Vihar police station, followed by south-east and north-west Delhi, a senior police official said.

New Delhi: It is reported by the news agencies that Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Promila Tokas’s husband was arrested by Delhi Police from R K Puram for allegedly preventing a public servant from conducting his duties, and abusing a woman.

Dheeraj, on Friday, arrested and Police has asked the MLA to join the probe. As per report of the cops, a complaint was received from an assistant engineer on December 15.

Where he alleged that at R K Puram Sector 12 when a team of CPWD officers had gone to demolish a slum, the MLA and her husband tried to stop the drive.

Wild Elephant Ransacked Paschim Satali Village

Yesterday night, 10th January 16, an wild elephant entered Paschim Satali Village under Mendabari GP, Kalchini Block, District Alipurduar at midnight and ransacked it. One shop,15 meters distant from the Kodalbasty Forest Range office had been severely damaged by the elephant.
Moreover,three houses of the villagers were also damaged by the said elephant.Villagers complained that they had informed the forest authority and did not get timely assistance from the forest concerned.
