It is reported that Shri Bhaiyyaji Joshi sarkaryavah of the RSS has released the Agricultural Atlas of Madhya Pradesh
on June 1st at Indira Gandhi National Centre for Arts (IGNCA)
auditorium in Delhi. Honourable Union Minister for Agriculture, Shri
Radha Mohan Singh; Honourable Member of Parliament, Shri Murli Manohar
Joshi; Organising Secretary of Bharatiya Kisan Sangh, Shri Dinesh Dattatreya
Kulkarni and Chairman of the IGNCA, Shri Ram Bahadur Rai address the
gathering. Dr. J. K. Bajaj, Director, Centre for Policy Studies, has
submitted the presentation on the contents of this Atlas.
Actually the Atlas is a bilingual illustrated compendium of
all aspects of Agriculture in Madhya Pradesh comprises detailed maps
on the geography, rivers, soils, climate, demography, livestock, changing
cropping patterns and production of different crops in the State. It
also rigorously records the extraordinary growth in all aspects of agriculture
that has taken place in Madhya Pradesh during the last about one and
a half decades. It has made Madhya Pradesh the fastest growing State
in Agriculture and the State with the largest share of Agriculture in
the State Domestic Product.
The Atlas is produced jointly by the Centre for Policy
Studies and the Madhya Pradesh Council for Science and Technology.
Resource Atlases of Datia and Tikamgarh districts in
Hindi has also released in this occasion.
